8. Cookie table: Cookies used by TROPHOVITAL
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files containing letters and numbers that are sent from a web server (such as the www.lintia.com web server) to your computer, smartphone, tablet or other Internet-accessible devices that you use to visit our website ("Device"). Once a cookie is stored on your device, the website server will be able to identify the device you are using.
"Web beacons" are small graphics (also known as "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs") that may be included on our website and in our newsletters and are typically used in combination with cookies to identify users and user behaviour.
2. What types of cookies does TROPHOVITAL use?
TROPHOVITAL uses different types of cookies on its website. These cookies serve different purposes. According to their purpose, cookies can generally be assigned to one of the following categories:
"Essential cookies", i.e. cookies that are essential for your purchases and your visits to our website;
"Functional cookies", i.e. cookies that enable you to navigate our website, use its functions, collect information about choices you have made and customise the website to your needs. Without these cookies, we will not be able to provide certain features, such as remembering information you have entered or saving your preferred language;
"Analytical cookies", i.e. analytical/statistical cookies that help improve the performance of our website and provide a better user experience. Analytical cookies allow us to gather information about the quality and/or effectiveness of our services. They help us understand how our visitors use our website. This in turn enables us to improve the way we present our content to you.
Our website uses cookies from all of the above categories to provide you with the best possible online experience. For a detailed list of the cookies we use, please refer to the cookie table below.
3. Are cookies on my device only stored by TROPHOVITAL?
No. The cookies used by TROPHOVITAL are both first-party cookies and third-party cookies.
By this we mean that first-party cookies are cookies from TROPHOVITAL that serve our purposes, including the provision of the shopping system on our website, interactive information and statistical purposes.
Third party cookies, on the other hand, are set by third party vendors under a different domain from that of our website. These third-party cookies enable analysis across multiple websites.
4. Are cookies stored permanently on my device?
Whether and how long cookies are stored on a device depends primarily on whether the cookie is set up as a "persistent cookie" or as a "session cookie".
"Session cookies" are cookies that are stored on your device only until you close the browser. In contrast, "persistent cookies" remain stored on your device until they expire or are deleted by you (e.g. by deleting your browser history or if you delete specific cookies using your browser settings). The cookie table below gives more detailed information on the storage duration of the respective cookies.

In addition to the essential cookies, we will only set cookies on your device if you have given us your prior consent. By this, we mean functional cookies and analytical cookies. The exact types of these cookies can be found in the cookie table below.

7. Emetriq
This website may collect and store data in anonymised form for marketing and optimisation purposes using technologies supplied by emetriq GmbH (www.emetriq.com). emetriq uses its best endeavours to maintain the anonymity of the data made available, i.e. emetriq does not store IP addresses or personal data (names, addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth) in accordance with §3 of the German Federal Data Protection Act. emetriq collects information on the surfing behaviour of anonymous Internet users, e.g. the particular pages or products that were viewed in the online shops of our cooperation partners. emetriq assigns the stored information an anonymised, multi-digit identification number, which is stored in a cookie on the user's computer and which under no circumstances allows the user's identity to be inferred. In addition, the data of at least 30 users is bundled and this excludes any individual allocation. Combining the stored information also means that emetriq is unable to identify a particular person. You have the option to deactivate (opt-out) of emetriq's behaviour-based online advertising: click here to deactivate. However, opting out of emetriq will not prevent the display of such advertising.
